SURF FORECAST WITH CHARLIE FOX/WaveWatch.com

Nothing great from the NPAC but some resuscitation is happening - provided models are on track. Realize, during seasonal flux, they often vacillate on solutions further out in time.

The little low that came together north of the chain yesterday pushed a short period NNW-N that will be with us for the next few days. However the storm behaves as it moves out will dictate future swell generation. These waves are short period and mainly weak, but some spots have some fun peaky waves to ride.

The shear line from the system sags over the chain. As winds behind the zone kick in later tonight, through tomorrow winds are unfavorable for the North Shore: NE winds...Then, it looks like moderate+(12-18kt) range E Trades WE-FR, for better conditions.

Models are hinting at some modest WPAC action that may give very low range NW this weekend. Right now the roughly 35kt wind fetch is slipping off Asia.

Way out a better Date Line low is advertised that may push low-moderate range wave onto North Shores by mid-next week. Stand by for details...

Short Range
Short period NNW-N(340-360) waves produce shoulder-head high range waves by afternoon. Focal spots have seen these sizes since dawn.

Not much change in size over the short term, just these short period waves. Conditions look trashed Tuesday with the NE wind component.

The low NE of us is working on a slightly better NNE pulse by Wednesday afternoon lasting into Thursday, getting sets for good exposures into the slightly to a few feet overhead range. Better winds then too.

Long Range
A couple of WPAC lows crop up on models will be monitored for swells this weekend and next week
